London 1953

Always on the lookout for old clippings, found this one above and a couple other London area in a batch in a little store in Fenelon Falls, ON. Layton still a bad guy at this point, Watson teaming with Don Leo and no children allowed !

The London Majors are still going strong, have seen them in Oshawa in the past (the Oshawa Dodgers unfortunately are not active this year) and the Majors are still at Labatt Park. Tickets still a respectable 6$ to see some good baseball and according to an entry online "Labatt Park is the oldest continually operating baseball grounds in the world, with a history dating back to 1877"

Edit July 6 2010
Greg Oliver sent along a note
-->Liked the clips with the baseball, but you missed a connection. The London Majors are co-owned by Scott Dart, the son of Terry Dart, London's second greatest wrestling fan (after Ma Pickles, of course).
